• HealthReach receives major donation – Abbott and Abbott Fund Provide $1 Million to HealthReach to Increase Access to Care and Expand Services at Area's Only Free Health Clinics.  This donation has four major components:

• $250,000 immediate general operating monies
• $250,000 to fund the construction and renovation of the Mundelein clinic
• $250,000 in the form of a dollar for dollar challenge grant with end date of 12/31/2007
• $250,000 in the form of product donations focused on diabetes treatment as well as other Abbott medicines used by HealthReach patients

 

• HealthReach receives State Pharmacy License – HealthReach Incorporated received a Division 1 Retail Pharmacy License on August 6th 2007 for its new Libertyville pharmacy. The new pharmacy currently is filling over 2,000 prescriptions on behalf of HealthReach patients each month with significant excess capacity for growth.

• Mundelein Clinic demolition begins on exciting renovation – Abbott Laboratories Engineering Services Division along with general contractor Riley Construction began demolition of the old HealthReach Mundelein clinic on July 12th.  Construction is scheduled for approximately 2-months.  When completed, the new clinic will have 3 new medical exam rooms, 2 new dental operatories and laboratory and dental x-ray facilities.
